Ok, so maybe Mass Effect 2 has taken away some of my focus.  The good news is that I beat it yesterday. All in all, it has an interesting story while eliminating a lot of the tediousness of the original.  I still think the load times are far too long, but ultimately I liked it.  It’s definitely a good game with a vast improvements over the original.  I did feel like they cheaped out by not including the citadel/presidium to its full extent, but I did like how much easier the hub planets were to navigate.  It made getting to missions and progressing the story much easier.  Currently, Mass Effect 2 is tied for second for the highest rated games on metacritic… it’s a good game with a good story, but it’s not that good! Luckily, my expectations were low and I got it online for a fraction of the $60 price tag.  It’s a great experience and I’m sure I would be way more into it if I liked level progression, stat tracking, and RPGs more….but I don’t and Mass Effect just teases me with its 3rd person shooting action which never quite lives up to Gears or other action titles.
