Modern Warfare 2

ModernWarfare2-Screenshot6-1024x768

I got Modern Warfare for PS3 on Sunday.  I’ve only played it for a few hours, but have enjoyed it thus far.  I don’t know if the game really lives up to all the hype, but it’s certainly an excellent online multiplayer game.  I’ve heard the campaign is super short.  Personally, I’ve played it for [...]

Killzone 2: Multiplayer

The real meat of Killzone 2 is in the Multiplayer. The multiplayer is absolutely fantastic and expertly creates the feeling of a true warzone. Since I’ve been playing the game for a few weeks, I’ve managed to unlock a few classes and earn some ribbons and other upgrades. The multiplayer experience starts you off [...]

Killzone 2: Single Player Impressions

I played a lot of Killzone 2 this weekend. I’m going to start with my single player impressions and move on to multiplayer later this week. I have completed 7 Missions (out of 10) so I’m pretty far into the single player campaign.

Killzone 2 instantly does 2 things incredibly well:1. It is possibly the [...]

Street Fighter IV impressions

Rented SF IV this weekend and have put in a couple hours. It has been overwhelming praised, but I’m definitely not blown away. It’s a pretty safe SF2 in 3D adaptation. It’s well animated, but I wish they had gone more daring with the paintbrush/watercolor art style. I find the characters [...]

Halo Wars Impressions / Demo Review

I downloaded the massive 1.7GB Halo Wars Demo Last night. Despite the Tutorial being very annoying (your control is frozen as the computer talks to you…argh! let me do what you’re telling me as you talk!), I found the demo pretty enjoyable. The gameplay works pretty good for being on a console and the graphics [...]

Far Cry 2: Preview/Impressions

I rented Far Cry 2 and have been playing it. It is absolutely gorgeous….the graphics have absolutely impressed me. The ability to start brush fires is also very cool, but I have found the single player – sandbox/GTA progression to not work very well. Luckily the multiplayer is pretty good with [...]

World Of Goo is Released on Oct 13th

World of Goo is coming out October 13th on PC and the Wii. Lucky for me, I preordered it and will be playing it a whole week early. Look for a review on the game next Monday and support 2dboy – a fantastic indie developer.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Impressions – Act 5

—-SPOILERS AHEAD—-
Well, a huge ship crashing into Raiden didn’t kill him after all. He returns in Act 5 without arms to help out Snake once again. Act 5 is definitely the shortest (gameplay wise) and most disappointing act so far. Again, MGS4 misses its opportunity to create a “classic” sneaking mission on the arsenal gear [...]

Metal Gear Solid 4 Impressions – Act 4

Well the new locales and diversity of graphics continue. Gameplay changes once again as well and focuses on sneaking and fighting mechanized opponents.
—-SPOILER ALERT—-Act 4 takes us back to Metal Gear Solid 1 to Shadow Moses in pursuit of Metal Gear Rex. Act 4 has a lot of nostalgic moments, but the best was definitely [...]

Metal Gear Solid 4 Impressions- Act 3

——-SPOILER ALERT—-So Act 3 definitely takes MGS4 into both another unrevealed locale and featured practically no cutscenes featured in any of the trailers (minus the shot of Big Mama in the church) so beware of spoilers.
——–SPOILERS START HERE——–
So after finishing off Laughing Octopus in Act 2 and a daring escape w/ Drebin, Raiden, and [...]
